Breakfast/Brunch
Pancho
Best coffee in town, without a doubt! Open Tue-Sat so definitely one to stop by on Saturday morning as you head in to town.
Cliffy’s Emporium
Second best coffee in town and a lovely breakfast place. Perfect for the warm or cold months with protection from the elements and heaters when needed.
Larder
Great stop right in the middle of town for a breakfast or coffee. Recommend getting in early to avoid the queues!
Lunch/Dinner/Pubs
Boathouse Restaurant
A quick walk down to the lake and you’ll be at the Boathouse. It’s a great restaurant for a weekend lunch.
Frank & Connies Kitchen
Rustic and comforting is the best way to describe this restaurant. It’s absolutely out number one pick in town and somewhere you’d be kicking yourself to miss during your stay. The food is designed to share and the wine’s are lovely to match!
Sault
2349 Ballan Daylesford Rd, Daylesford
Views are abundant and inspiring with the restaurant taking in 180-degree vistas of the surrounding lake, lavender fields and forest. Catering to each and every need, Sault will adjust the atmosphere to suit; romantic rendezvous, celebrations or a group getaway, to name just a few.
The Surly Goat
A cozy restaurant tucked down a quiet side-street in Hepburn Springs. A set menu that goes from strength to strength and brilliant service. One of our favourites!
Beppe
Rustic but modern Italian and service with a smile. They have a really well priced food and wine list. Highly recommend for a romantic date-night.
The Lake House
A team passionate about hospitality delivers beautiful cutting edge, seasonal food matched with an internationally acclaimed wine list. The kitchen work from the ground up producing virtually everything, from house baked breads to an extensive charcuterie range, on the premises.
Kadota
Lovingly crafted Japanese flavours are on the plate at Kadota. This warm and inviting venue is the passion project of owners Aaron Schembri and Risa Kadota, whom the restaurant is named after, who met while working at some of Japan’s finest restaurants.
Du Fermier
A new season menu created each weekend. A real surprise for it’s guests and one you absolutely must go back to again and again! It feels as though you’re eating in Annie’s own home.
Bistro Terroir
Local French cuisine done so well. You can’t go without trying the steak frites!
Midnight Starling
A little further from Daylesford but a lovely menu to enjoy over a lunch or dinner with friends and loved ones.
Hotel Frangos
An easy stop-in for lunch or dinner right in the middle of town. Bookings recommended but not essential. Well priced menu and great variety of good.
Betel Boy
Lovely fresh Asian-fusion menu worth a stop in.
Farmers Arms Hotel
Best pub in town and over 100 years old! Highly recommend a stop and in the warmer months you absolutely must enjoy the outdoor garden with live jazz music.
Cosmopolitan Hotel Trentham
Worth the 20 minute drive to Trentham. This pub is lovely and cozy inside and also has a large outdoor beer garden surrounded by lovely old trees.
Pig & Whistle Hotel
A hidden gem we highly recommend! A friend of ours brought us here years ago and we keep going back for more.
Radio Springs Hotel
The most beautifully quirky pub located off the beaten track. You’ll need to call to make a reservation. A great stop in for a bite or a pint. It’s hard to find a place with more personality than this!
